BRANDON CHAMBER NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR
BRANDON’S 2013 KEY CITIZEN AND THE 2013 GREATER BRANDON COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARDS
The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Brandon’s 2013 Key Citizen Award and the 2013 Greater Brandon Community Leadership Award.
The recipient of the Key Citizen Award will be chosen on the basis of his or her contributions to the progress of the Brandon community. Nominees should be unselfishly devoted to contributing time and effort for the betterment of the Brandon community rather than for their own personal gain. Involvement in the Brandon community must be consistent, with a minimum period of service of five years, and should be in a number of well-rounded activities, primarily in the Brandon area, with an emphasis on the immediate past year. Nominations will be kept on file for a period of three years. After that time, previous applicants need to be nominated again and submit current information.
The Greater Brandon Community Leadership Award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, has given selflessly to the Greater Brandon community, and whose efforts have far-reaching effects beyond the Greater Brandon area. These prestigious community awards are only presented if there are deserving recipients and are not arbitrarily given each year.
