Welcome!

The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce constantly strives to provide comprehensive programs and activities that improve business and build a better community. We are organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Greater Brandon Area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests of the area.

August '14 Chair Message

Tony Del Castillo Chairman webIn the process of learning about the infrastructure of our business, service and governmental entities of Tampa Bay, Leadership Brandon classes genuinely bond together and make solid contributions back to our community in the form of time, talent and treasure. Many Leadership Class graduates go on to become quite involved with the greater Brandon community at an even higher level, either in their own companies or perhaps in public office. Take time to read the pages of this month's newsletter to learn more about how the program provides an excellent vehicle for professional development and a widening of horizons for the participants.

Consider nominating one of your employees or coworkers for the Leadership Brandon program… you will see the investment is well worth the effort! Go Class of 2005, the Class with Drive!

We are a 5-Star Accredited Chamber as recognized by the United States Chamber of Commerce. We are the first Chamber within the region to earn this honor. We received this prestigious 5-Star designation because we offer quality programs, practice sound organization procedures, and reliably contribute to positive change within the community. In order to receive accreditation, we demonstrated to the U.S. Chamber competency in nine distinct areas, including governance, finance, human resources, government affairs, program development, communication, technology and facilities.

Since 1964, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has invited state and local chambers of commerce to participate in its Accreditation Program. The program is designed to stimulate a continuous self-analysis of an organization’s growth and development with an opportunity to reassess its objectives, organization resources, program of work, procedures, and achievements.
