The Engagement & Programming Department provides services and programs to Chamber members and community leaders that create a community-wide environment where businesses can prosper. It also monitors governmental issues that affect the quality of life in the Brandon area or have an impact on the business community. Programs and Services Include:

Meets on the 1st Monday of every month at 4:30 p.m., at the Brandon Chamber
· Coordinate the yearly trip to Tallahasee · Present and monitor 2010 County, State and Federal Advocacy Agendas · Develop the 2010 County, State and Federal Advocacy Agendas · Coordinate Legislative and Congressional Update Luncheons · Represent the Chamber at various meetings · Recruit applicants for board and councils

· Coordinate an annual fair in partnership with member medical-related businesses

Leadership Brandon Committee Meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 4:00 p.m., at the Brandon Chamber · Planning of the current class day sessions · Alumni event planning The 2011 Class Schedule has been set and runs from October to June.
· Identify 30 plus community leaders of diverse backgrounds, develop their potential, and nurture their desire to accept leadership roles in the community
Membership Luncheons · Coordinate luncheon forums that offer educational and networking opportunities to members and prospective members
Military Affairs Council Chair: Earl Haugabook
Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 8:00 a.m., at the Brandon Chamber
· Continue to fulfill our $1,500 per year commitment to the MacDill Education Endowment Fund · Offer opportunities to interact with MacDill Air Force Base through programs including, but not limited to, a Military Appreciation function · Encourage programs that offer assistance to military personnel such as the Military Discount Program and “Operation Dove”
· Monthly Coffee Clubs, Business After Hours and Networking At Noon Events · Coordinate with member businesses as hosts Neighborhood Accountability Board (NAB) Co-Chair: Steve Saunders Co-Chair: Jeff Sheffer

· Coordinate the Business Expo/'Taste of Brandon™' and the Small Business of the Year Awards Gala · Host the “Working Smarter” seminar series as an opportunity for area businesses to enhance their knowledge of proper business practices and trends · Promote Small Business Counseling
